Jennifer tilts her head, considering the offered assessment as a question. "It might be. My tendency has been to be more cynical than not as of late, and I am aware that isn't inherently more accurate than optimism. Just slightly less likely to be disappointing."

It gives her a little more time to give the actual question Chloe asks a little more time and consideration. "It doesn't have to be a lot of influence to start with. Momentum and leverage can do a lot. Or we'll have none and the situation is a whole different level traumatizing. I'm not ready to lean into that yet."
