[Darin, sadly, still was unaware that there was soon to be a whole horde of these creatures. He was completely focused on the sounds of the crate crashing down and Allura making her escape. The rest of the crates would soon follow, but that monster was recovering too quickly. It was bound to knock Allura out of the air, or worse. Fishing around in his pocket for another piece of scrap metal, he quickly lines up a shot and flicks what turns out to be a screw like a bullet, catching the creature right behind the knee causing it to buckle and topple.]
[Hopefully Allura could make it from here. Once she was gone, he'd finish off the beast himself to prevent it from getting to the upper decks...]
