Sometimes this place reminds her of Canaan House, before the turn toward a death match. Back when it was a puzzle and everyone was racing themselves and each other. Gideon hasn't been aiming for anything in particular here for herself. It's all about Harrow, and she still doesn't know if what she wants is possible. Having a choice in these things (even if one is punch your way through a fuckton of mirrors) makes a huge difference.

"Fuck, like this one had me literally unwrap myself to reveal something," Gideon sighs. "So yeah, lots of people know that. Kind of defeats the point of asking for someone's help if it's some kind of cheat code instead of common decency." Is Gideon supposed to rethink that?
