Connor's gonna back him up on that, with a shouted "he's right" before coming up to stand next to Malcolm so the both of them can stare down the policeman. He gestures between he and Malcolm. "Please. We have some new methods for investigating a crime scene and we need it to stay intact. Don't clean anything yet, alright?"

Maybe he'll be listened to, and maybe he's just gotten Malcolm and himself arrested as suspects. It could probably go either way.
