"You wouldn't ever be taking advantage of me," she assures a touch too quickly. Underlying connotations aside, it's important for him to know. She doesn't see him that way in the slightest. It's an aspect of being with Kamski that Connor has helped put into (an albeit uncomfortable) perspective. "And you don't ever have to do anything for me, okay? I really would be happy to just take care of you." Too explicit a turn? Oh well. Isn't being able to talk about things part of a relationship? If her subtext is now more text, does it matter so much?

Her gaze follows his to look him over, head tilting to the side appraisingly. "You're right," she has to admit with a sigh. "You definitely deserve something more suave." A well-tailored suit, for example. She would be on board for that.

The first thing she wants to do is ask shouldn't I have gotten you a gift? Biting her tongue, she takes a moment to rationalise rather than react. She isn't entirely sure what Connor might make of the specific gift but she doubts he'd be opposed to the concept. Surprise. He must be surprised. And that's a whole can of worms in itself. One she won't be touching just yet. They can just enjoy the moment.

"Of course. You could open it when we've finished skating?" She's keen. And funnily enough, she hasn't considered that he might get her something too.
