He reaches out for that box and stares at it blankly a moment. His jaw tightens and his eyes grow narrow and cold.
"I'm not good enough, but
you
know what's best for me, huh? Spare me the lecture. I know all the words to that one," he scoffs.
"You smell like a liquor store bathroom and you look like shit in red, you know? Makes you look ruddy," he says on his way out.
