Only the enjoyment of it, really. Perhaps the Ancient sees fit to help those who aren't exactly human, or something close to it, feel less... well... alien?

Hmm. I'd say taste is a perk. Being able to share in a meal with others... But I suppose it all seems more alluring when it's new.
