David sat as well, working on getting the skates on. His fingers were indeed supremely confident with this part of the process. How many times had he done this? Couldn't even begin to count.

"Perhaps. Perhaps it will just make me miss a lot of things and a lot of people. But..."

"But before you're done on the ice, can I borrow the skill? Just ten minutes?"
