[Okay, no, David's going to make sure this man gets that it's valid. This is now David's mission. On his glasses he's already directing them to make the aro pride flag to display for Sephiroth in a moment.]

It's absolutely a real category of people. It's just not talked about so much because there are a lot of idiots out there that feel like the only way you can find fulfillment is through romantic love. Hell, a lot of people don't believe in asexual people either. But they exist. I promise that. I know how hard that can be if your world hasn't started to accept that. The term bisexual wasn't even common when I as growing up and I grew up believing that the fact that I felt attraction to both women and men wasn't real, but rather that I was just attention seeking.

Sexual and romantic attraction aren't binary. They're a whole spectrum of possibilities. Some people are demisexual or romantic. That means that their mind and 'heart' can only accept a relationship with someone you're already deeply closed to and trust. You don't have to have a definition for yourself, there's no obligation. But if you've never felt romantic attraction before, that's genuinely a thing you can be, and anyone that gives you grief for it deserves their ass kicked.
