"Boys who grow up thinking they're physically undesirable so they completely reject any and all forms of self-care because A) they don't believe they should be putting effort into their appearance if they feel it can't really be changed for the better and B) and they mistakenly attribute an interest in cosmetics to superficial or feminine qualities that would only further damage their sense of self-worth as men.
