He half lets Elenore steer him, but keeps a hand out so he can feel like he's helping. His nose throbs painfully.

Because he's blindfolded Kyle doesn't see that his reflection has changed. Instead of a gangly scarecrow of a man, there's just a little boy. He has the same red curly hair, the same sharp features. He's a funny looking kid - in fact, you could definitely call him ugly. He also looks incredibly hurt.
