After the last two islands, which were not at all thematically related in any way, Hawks has no clue what to expect on this new one. He has a pretty good imagination, he thinks, but giant carnival sure wasn't anywhere in his predictions. Should have gotten some sort of betting pool going, he thinks. Maybe next round, huh?
He's not sure if the food is something trustworthy, but he's got a strong stomach and a weakness for fried foods (listen, don't @ him, a guy has to eat more than fish and flowers like on the last place!). Find him with a snack somewhere.
Or find him at this Test Your Strength game, just eyeballing it. When someone approaches, he turns as if he's surprised to see them (though he isn't; he might act like he's not paying attention, but he's paying attention to as much at once as he can, and he's good at that).
"Oh, hey! You wanna see who can hit this thing higher? Might as well, huh?"
Despite the whole number two hero thing, he's not really all that competitive, and he's not a sore loser. This is just for fun as far as he's concerned. Afterwards, there's more fried food, or there's an exploration of the grounds in it. He could use the company, anyway. Local extrovert still figuring carnival out, stay tuned.
2; HALL OF MIRRORS
Later (days, weeks, who knows, it's just later), Hawks is exploring around and he ends up roped into the mirrors line. The thing is, Hawks lives up to his moniker here; he has really good eyesight. So a mirror maze doesn't faze him much, and the idea of mirror distortion just seems kind of pointless.
But fine, fine, he can go along to get along. That's part of his whole shtick, anyway, and it's much easier to do here than trying to play buddy buddy with some big bad villains like at home. So he just shrugs at whoever he's paired with.
"Funhouse mirrors, huh? Well, stick close to me and I'll get ya out if we get too lost, okay?" he says with a grin.
Of course inside isn't that simple. Can he answer this riddle? Guess whoever involved is about to find out. . .
[ Hawks has a pretty good self-image generally so the mirrors won't freak him out too much visually, but he's here to help someone else out and hopefully keep them from punching their way out of some mirrors! Hawks can try to cut through them with his feather swords OR maybe tell the truth about his actual name depending on how the thread goes! :D;; ]
