"And you died," Jean-Paul repeated softly. He looked away, wanting to allow David some privacy if he needed a moment to collect himself.
Should he collect himself? He's still so young. Maybe he needs to break down, process it.
He sighed and looked back. "I know it is not the same, but I remember how much dying sucks. And I remember how stupid I felt, thinking back on it."
