It’s certainly an intriguing line of thought. I’d shared a similar one about rather than being a puppet master, perhaps the Ancient merely sets the stage. Though admittedly I’d thought of the colour system as being judged on a universal scale but yes, it could perhaps make sense for it to be tied to our own self-perception as well.
