II. The Temple

Booker doesn't pack, nor does he willingly place himself on the ship. There's nothing for him to miss, no personal effects that are worth keeping. For a moment he thinks that he might have had another incident where the drink had been impossibly strong, and he'd woken up here with no memories due to alcohol, but the grave frown that the ferryman offers him indicates more magic instead of self-inflicted repercussions.

He finds himself in the temple, swapping out the drab brown robe for a splashy, rainbow kaleidoscope patterned one. For the first time that he can remember, his mind seems... quieter. Calmer. He doesn't think about the nightmares that follow him like a curse, the memory of them faint and the anticipatory dread muted. The simple staples in the temple harken back to a time before the bustle of fast food and the whirlwind of innovation, and while he's not nearly as talented as Nicky, he manages passable meals, sharing them with anyone who happens to stop by.

III. The Lotus Baths

Booker peels off his robe and leaves the flip flops on the edge of the rocks. Slips into the water nude, the ease and peace he's found here settling in his muscles and bones and reminding him of a simpler time.

He submerges his head without a single thought of drowning entering his mind. Actually, there don't seem to be any thoughts entering his mind and he floats over to a rock where he can settle, closing his eyes.

Unbidden, he hears soft laughter, then a pair of giggles, then three sets of happy laughs that roll over each other; young, all of them, and he remembers exactly the moment. He doesn't seek an immediate distraction though, and he's too immersed in the memory to remember how it ultimately ends - until the fringes of someone else's life start bumping against his.

[ there will be other memories depending! ]

IV. Nightblooming

Booker hears the scream, and while he doesn't run to it with the typical eagerness of a distraction, he still arrives with the machete from the temple. There's often a certain kind of help he can provide, given his unfortunate ability to not die, and he's more than happy to use it to help the locals here, though he'll insist on going alone lest anyone else discover what he is and what he can do.
