[Alucard is not inclined to waste food, and what leftover fish he's cooked for himself has been set on a small plate and currently being given to the temple's (mostly) feline guardians. The fish has been prepared simply enough - poached with some of the more edible flowers, the taste light and sweet while letting the fish itself shine through. And it is good fish, the variety unfamiliar to the dhampir and welcome for the novelty.
The kitchen and the pantries are wholly unfamiliar, but they are a much more comfortable space to occupy. There's a mess to clean up now (dishes, the pot still full of too hot poaching liquid, the cutting board and too sharp knives), but Alucard lingers a minute, observing the guardians instead. He likes them much more than the last ones.]
IV. Nightblooming [In retrospect, Alucard will note the fact he didn't just turn away and ignore the plight of a family breaking apart was the first sign that he wasn't entirely lost in his own trauma and depression to the point of becoming his father. Here and now though, Alucard's thought process is far simpler: he wants to know what dangers are in this place and how they compare to the last island.
So here he is in the middle of the flower fields, machete in one hand and moving as carefully as he can. The blade in hand has been used sparingly, which is to say not at all yet. Any quick movement will give away his approach, and that isn't the game. Not yet.
The giant mantises give Alucard just a moment of pause has he comes across them finally, taking the moment to duck low beneath the cover of flowers. If there are others approaching this scene (and it has a touch of madness to it, giant bugs singing human songs to trap their prey), he needs to account for that as well.]
Wildcard Alucard will generally be found around the Temple or else exploring the fields if you'd rather encounter him there.
