"I wanted to join the Cohort for a long time," Gideon says with a shrug. Nothing wrong with being a soldier. Even if he doesn't have his own personal bff magic user, she doubts he's just cannon fodder. He's outlived that, surely.

Her eyes turn back to Harrow. "No holding back. If it's just one, make it epic," Gideon urges. She's excited, even not being the one fighting it. Harrow deserves to show off.
